You´ve got a comment!

Some time ago, there was a movie called “You´ve got an email”, starred by Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, that I liked a lot. This movie was launched when Internet was not completely expanded yet. At that time, not many people had internet at their homes. But the possibility that Aol, Hotmail, ICQ gave us to communicate was revolutionary at that time. YOU´VE GOT AN EMAIL was such a thing that made us happy. Opening my PC and seeing that “I´VE GOT AN EMAIL” meant a big smile in my face.

Nowadays, something similar happens to me. But emails do not surprise me as much as they used to. Today, my big smile appears when I see “ YOU´VE GOT COMMENT”. Someone commented on your blog.

Web 2.0 has dramatically changed the way people communicate. Intenet is almost in every house and people not only have one or two email addresses, but also they have blogs, a twitter accounts and social network access

I have my blog as many people have theirs. I started writing about my trip to Canada and after that I kept on writing about my life, general facts and some of my interests. As a newcomer in this blogging world, it was amazing to realized how many people visit it, share some of my interests and opinions and leave their comments.


“YOU´VE GOT A COMMENT” has become the new version of “ You´ve got an email” and receiving a feedback from someone who took their time to read and look around what you posted is really valued and excting.

I just want to thanks all of you who sent me your comments, looked around and visited my blog. To those who I know their names and those silent and anonymous visitors, THANKS!

Automotivation....

There are some days that we need more motivation than usual. I am in one of those days. Tomorrow is Monday and mondays have always been tough for me. But somehow, I always manage to get through them succesfully. The hardest part of the day is just getting up! but once you are out of bed you have a whole new day and a new beginning in front of you... so... we should only have to take advantage of it.

I have been thinking of which word/phrase could be my motivational word/phrase of the day....Sigh... I need something that give me some magical effect...

So, I decided to review my marketing notes and I read again Linchpin Manifesto.There are many powerful words there and for today I will just focus on three:

1. The past is gone. It has no power.

2. The future depends on choices I make now.

3. I make it happen. Every day.

I make it happen... Monday is waiting... I have an awesome week in front of me.

It has been a long time since I read such powerful and inspirational speech. The Linchpin Manifesto publised by Seth Godin...

I bumped into it surfing in the website and since I read the firts sentence, I knew that this was something BIG!

I love these words.. these concepts... all the ideas linked, together... POWERFUL...

According to Collins Dictionary, a Linchpin refers to a person or thing of something, that are the most important person or thing involved in it. A Linchpin is someone or something indispensable, difficult to be replaced... but beyond this, the characteristic that are detailed in the manifesto are signs of greatness....

I want to be a Linchpin girl :)

The key word of the week: Self-Discipline

Since we are little kids, we are taught to obey authorities. We need to fulfill parent’s orders, teacher’s commands, and bosses ´s wishes. We are demanded by our surround all the time in order not to be punished. So, we act everyday for “them”.

However, nobody teaches us to obey our own personal orders, commands and wishes. When we realize what we want and that we can get what we want, the demands are not from the outside but the inside. We are not anymore disciplined because of them; on the other hand, we are disciplined because of us. It is much better do something because we want to do it than someone else expects you to do it. Self discipline is an inner fire. We act because we want, we wish and we desire. I do not obey anyone else, just only me…

Talent without discipline is like an octopus on roller skates. There's plenty of movement, but you never know if it's going to be forward, backwards, or sideways.

Big Hearts....

My cousin Diego showed me this video in my last trip to Cordoba.
It tells us the story of a girl with a big heart in a insensitive city where love, principles and values are not taken into account.
What do you do when your heart is too big for a narrowed sentitive city?
Many people would say "reduce your heart", but I prefer to say "make the city bigger" :)

I still believe that there are many good people walking out there...many good people with big hearts..

Be Happy...

After reading this I cannot stop wondering what makes me feel happy?

So many things... but some other thing are nor really clear.

This things changes from time to time.

This things changes in every stage of life.

What made me feel happy at 5 years old is not the same that made me happy at 25 or 22.

We all need some clearity in our mind and soul to answer this question.

Some people might call this maturity.

Happiness is our all personal issue, dream and goal.

So... It is my birthday again....

I do not like to celebrate my birthdays.

However, fortunatelly, there are always people in the world who want to celebrate it for me :)
