Connections...Connections...Connections...
What´s the connection between Santiago del Estero and Luján? It´s strange to find out how things connect to each other sometimes. It seems like everything is linked in some way. The world is a handkerchief. I found a connection between Santiago del Estero and Lujan.
There is no connection you might think. You are wrong. There is something special that links these two cities. There is something special which is more than this simple route signal. There is always a connection. Continue reading and you will find out.
Santiago del Estero, the city where I was born 26 years ago, is situated in the north of the country, at 1300 km aprox from Buenos Aires and Lujan. Santiago is famous because it was the first city founded in Argentina that is why its nickname is "Mother of the Cities".
Luján is a city which is located in the province of Buenos Aires at 67 km from the capital city of the country. Lujan is a small, green and quiet city and it is famous because of the Virgin Mary. "Our Lady of Luján" was declared the the patron saint of the Argentines and the Basilic that was built in her honour was visited by Pope Juan Paul II during his stay in 1982.
What´s the connection between Santiago del Estero and Lujan?
Look at the sign below.
However, the connection is bigger and stronger. The connection between Santiago an Lujan is the Virgin.
The Virgin of Lujan arrived to Argentina thanks to a "santiagueño". And the Virgin of Lujan is like the sister of the Virgin of Sumampa of Santiago del Estero.
Let´s take a look at the history.
The history of the shrine begins in 1630, with a farmer who came to Argentina from Portugal and he settled down in Sumampa, Santiago del Estero. This “santigueño” decided to build a little chapel on his land in the village, and he wrote to his friend in Brazil, asking him to send a small statue of Our Lady. The friend was not sure what the farmer wanted the statue of the Blessed Virgin to look like, so he sent two statues – one statue of Our Lady was holding the Child Jesus and the other statue was the Immaculate Conception. The statues were shipped by sea at first and then they were placed on a cart for the journey inland. Because the natives in the area were a fighting bunch, a number of carts and pack horses banded together in a caravan. When it became dark, they camped at the ranch of Don Rosendo de Oramus. Early the next morning, the carts began to set off one by one, all except the cart that carried the statues of the Blessed Virgin Mary; the driver was unable to get the horses to move the cart! Other men came to help, but all in vain – neither the animals nor the cart would move! Only when the statue of the Immaculate Conception was removed from the cart, did the horse start pulling. The statue of Our Lady with the Child Jesus continued its journey and arrived safely in Sumampa, where it is still venerated today and The Immaculate Conception remainded at Lujan.

What do you see?

The Duck-Rabbit ilussion show us how our perception changes depending on what we focus on. May be, this is the reason why it is so difficult to agree on something.
What are you seeing right now?

It's all about Attitude!

If you think that you do not dare, you shall not do it
If you think that you would like to win but that you cannot, you shall not win
Because in the world you will find that success begins with the will of man.
If you think that you will lose, you have already lost
It’s all in the mental attitude
Because many races have been lost before they were run
And many cowards have failed before having begun their work
Think big and your deeds shall grow
Think small and you shall remain behind;
You must think well to elevate yourself,
It’s all in the mental attitude.
If you think you are ahead, you are
You must think well to elevate yourself
You must be sure of yourself, before attempting to win a prize
The battle of life is not always won by the man who is strongest or quickest,
Because sooner or later the man who wins is the one who believes he can.

The Law of Attraction: The Secret.
The Power of Attraction wasn’t a secret for me. I knew about it since a long time ago, however, it is not easy to make it happens. But when it happens, it’s like magic.
The first time I read about the power of attraction was in the most famous book of Paulo Coelho: “The Alquimist”. There is a memorable quote there. It says: “When you really want something and when you desire something with all your heart, all the universe conspires to helping you to achieve it”.
The first step of this power and the most difficult thing to recognize sometimes is to know what we really want.
What do you really want? The answer of this question is powerful itself. Anthony Robbins focuses many of his seminars on answering this question. We always know what we don’t want but we hardly ever know what we really want. This is called self knowledge, affirmative thinking, clear ideas.
When you know what you want, your mind focuses on those things you need to get what you want. Mind is powerful. Mind works like a magnet and all the energy around you flows in the same way of your dream.
That is why one of the most important parts of the Power of Attraction is the Power of Visualization. You should be able to create a world in your mind where you are where you want, doing what you want, getting what you want. As, Richard Bach said in “Johnatan Livingston Seagull”: “To fly as fast as thought, to anywhere that is, you must begin by knowing that you have already arrived”. Imagination. What a mind can conceive, the mind can achieve.
Dream, Wish, Believe, Imagine, Visualize, Attract, Make it Happen.

Siblings!
Charlie and Lola. This is my favourite Discovery Kid's cartoon. It is about the relationship between two closed-age siblings: Charlie, the elder brother and her little sister Lola, a very imaginative and creative little girl.
At the beggining of every chapter Charlie says: "I have this little sister Lola, she is small and very funny" and then Lola starts a new adventure.
I like it not only because it is really funny but also because it reminds me of my own relationship with my elder brother Leo.
Leo and Euge could be the argentinian version of Charlie and Lola. Hahahah.
I am sure that everyone has his/her own version of the cartoon in his/her real life and I believe that siblings are one of the best inventions life.

Nostalgia....
Why do people stick to the past?
Why do we want to live in the “old days”?
Why does the past seduce us more than the present or the future sometimes?
Why do we want to “back to the past” instead of looking forward?
Why are we so nostalgic?
According to Wikipedia, “Nostalgia” is a bittersweet feeling for the things of the past.
Is it true that every past time was better? Who knows? It might be better sometimes but…it might be worse sometimes, too.
Nostalgia is related with the past in an idealized way. Ideal, idealist, idyllic. This is the key word. It is said that nostalgia is like a grammar lesson: you find the present tense, but the past perfect. However, was the past really “perfect”?
We always want to come back to that people, place or time in which we felt happy. We forget every mistake, fault or error made in the past and we only keep the good memory. “Nothing is more responsible for the good old days than a bad memory” is a popular quote. However, we are nostalgic when we have the fear that there is no chance of its feeling coming back.
On the other hand, it’s true that we can’t have a better tomorrow if we are thinking about about the past all the time.
It’s no bad to be nostalgic providing that you never forget that “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is mystery, but today is a GIFT”.
Better times will come if you attract them.

To learn English = To become a child again
Zev, my homestay father told me once that if I want to learn English I should read children’s books, I should watch children’s TV Shows and I should sing Children’s songs. When you learn a different language you become a kid again. It ‘s like starting the kindergarten … everything is new, you need to start from the bottom. And you know what? It’s a fabulous sensation because it’s like you can recover your sense of wonder and you capacity to be astonished.
You discover a whole new world!

Enthusiasm, the inner fire...
Show the world what you love to do
Tell everybody what you really enjoy
Share what your passion is…
And people will see the enthusiasm that is in you.
Enthusiasm is an energy that makes you transcend in life.
With enthusiasm everything is possible.
Enthusiasm is you in action… is you in the pure state of creation…
Enthusiasm makes things happen.
It fulfills your soul of joy and happiness
It makes you go far, go beyond, arise, fly…
Enthusiasm is the gas you need to cope with life.
It pushes you to your goal
It enlightens you and enlightens everything is surrounded you
When you are enthusiastic you show your fire because enthusiasm twinkles from the deep of your eyes.

Benjamin Chee Chee
Benjamin Chee Chee is a famous canadian artist. He was born in Temagami, Ontario and he taught himself to draw and paint. He had a very sad childhooh because his father died when he was two months old and he lost track of his mother. One reason behind his drive for success as a painter was his ambition to be reunited with her.He was a prominent member of the second generation of Woodland Indian painters, a native art movement that began in the early nineteen-sixties and has since become one of the important art schools in Canada.
Unlike many of his contemporaries, he painted in a style influenced by modern abstraction. While most of the young Woodland Indian artists were content to follow the style of the movement's founder, Norval Morrisseau, in depicting myths and legends by direct and "primitive" narrative means, Chee Chee pursued a more economical graphic style, a reduction of line and image more in keeping with the mainstream of international modern art.
At the age of thirty-two and at the height of a new-found success as an artist and printmaker, Chee Chee died tragically by committing suicide.

A short love story...
April come she will
When streams are ripe and swelled with rain;
May, she will stay,
Resting in my arms again.
June, she'll change her tune,
In restless walks shell prowl the night;
July, she will fly
And give no warning to her flight.
August, die she must,
The autumn winds blow chilly and cold
September I'll remember
A love once new has now grown old.

If I were my boss...
It is not easy to trust people you don't know. When you are looking for someone who has all the qualities, qualifications and competences you need, it is not easy to find him/her.
I know me that is why I trust me.
I know that I am a responsible person. I know about my commitment with everything I do in life: job, family, friends, job again.
I know that I am not going to work FOR you, but I am going to work WITH you. I will see in the same direction you see. Your goals will be my goals. That is called"fussion". That is "partnership". That's the only way I believe things work. That's me. I cannot feel apart.
I believe I could do everything if I only had the chance. "It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare, it is because we do not dare that they are difficult" (Seneca). That is why if I were my boss, I would hire me :o)
